I am basically your average Joe. I have a full-time gig in corporate America and was looking for something else to occupy time (Dude....I am bored!). So I figured I would start a website to help dudes find gifts for woman without having to shop. Well, I lost interest in that fast! It was boring looking for gifts all day, So evolved the site into a place for dudes to go when they are bored! (Dudettes are welcome also. Ok, That is my 15 second elevator pitch, just read the interview with myself below to find out more! Enjoy dude!
Who is the Dude behind Dudehelp?
Like I said, I am just your average dude. I grew up in Boston, which by default makes me a hardcore BoSox & Patriots fan. I now live in Bellevue, WA (aka boring town USA). I have worked in the healthcare arena for the past 15 years.
Why did you start DudeHelp.com?
Dude, I already told you above! To share my boredom with other bored dudes.
Why did you choose DudeHelp as a name?
For some reason, everytime I was looking for some type of information on the web, It seemed that I was always putting "dude help me" or something like that in my search.
So I checked it out and DudeHelp.com & DudeHelpme.com was still available, so I registered them. Basically, I chose DudeHelp.com because it was available and made sense at least I think it is intuitive!
Is it it hard to start a website?
It has taken me a long time, but I have learned quite a bit. I am not a programmer, so I had to read a lot and look at many different websites. So I guess you could say that is is not hard, just time consuming. But I dont care, because damn I am having fun!
What is your goal of this site?
Well, just a bored dude helping other bored dudes, we have to stick together man! La Resistance!
